Xox Brittany,
THROWBACK THURSDAY UP IN THIS BITCH. I was saving this recipe for my upcoming cookbook but you guys said FUCK THAT. So here is the most requested recipe, The Thug Kitchen RCB Burrito.
ROASTED CHICKPEA & BROCCOLI BURRITO
3 cups of cooked chickpeas (2-15 ounce cans, drained)
1 large yellow onion
1 red bell pepper
1 large crown of broccoli
4 cloves of garlic
1 lime
Spice Blend:
3 tablespoons olive oil
1-2 tablespoons soy sauce, tamari, or Bragg’s Liquid Aminos (You can usually find this old school hippie shit near the vinegars or soy sauces in the healthy eating section of most big grocery stores and on the internet)
2 teaspoons chili powder
1 teaspoon ground cumin
1 teaspoon smoked paprika
1/2 teaspoon ground coriander or more cumin if you don’t want to go to the store
black pepper or cayenne pepper to taste
Heat the oven to 425 degrees. Chop up the onion, bell pepper, and broccoli so that all the pieces about the size of a chickpea. Chop up the garlic real small but save that shit until later. Place all the chopped up veggies in a large bowl with the cooked chickpeas. Pour in the oil and soy sauce, stir, and then throw all the spices in there. Mix until all the vegetables and shit are covered.
Put all of that on a large rimmed baking sheet (like what you would put cookies on but with an edge) and bake for 20 minutes. Take it out of the oven, don’t fucking burn yourself, add the garlic, and bake for another 15 minutes. The broccoli will look a little burnt at this point but that is the plan so chill the fuck out and take it out of the oven. Squeeze the juice of half of the lime over the pan and stir the roasted chickpeas and veggies all around. Taste some and see if it needs more spices or anything. Now make a fucking burrito. I like mine with spinach, avocado, cilantro, and some fire roasted salsa but you do your thing.
makes 6-8 burritos
This sounds so fantastic to me right now. Mostly reblogging for sake of the roasted broccoli, but chickpeas are friggen rad, too.

How adorable is this? My dad won it for me today at an expo! #adorable #healthy #recovery (Taken with Instagram)
This is so freaking cute! I read recently about how to make ceramic plates/pottery, maybe I’ll try it out. I’d love a plate like this. :)

This is absolutely on my summer “to make” food list!
Xox Brittany,
I’ve never really thought of it, but slicing my watermelon this way would be so much more efficient, and would help fix the drip issue. Hmm. Looks awesome!
It sounds silly, but due to genetics- I have horrible inner/outer thighs, and saddlebags… So one of my main goals is just to get a totally smooth legbutt combination. This girl clearly does her squats!
Also, aww hi kitty. :3

Definitely considering this tonight.
Got looooads of organic groceries to make for the doggies for the benefit Saturday :) Aaand I might actually just eat some of them myself, lol. Considering going pescatarian again, since I’d miss sushi/fish, but really need to reduce inflammation in my body. Hmm.
Also, just got done doing 100 crunches before dinner, and carrying all of those heavy groceries home, so- it’s a start! :3

Because of the horrendous amount of pain I’ve been in lately (see: personal blog), and the fact that it’s largely due to inflammation (or at least, inflammation is what isn’t allowing my ribs to sit right or stay in place)
I—-think I’m going to start eating avocados daily. Expensive, but fully worth the health investment.

Hey look, some fitspo images I’ve found on my dash in the last few hours
Lets get ~*~*~fitspired~*~*~ lollll
This makes me so mad because they are all HOT as is
Also I’m glad I saw this bc you guys have no idea how many times that volleyball girl has been on my dash and I’ve always been so confused
I think this is important to see- it’s not just curvy girls being told they need to look androgynous/thin- it goes both ways, and throwing a constant flow of over-edited photos into the mix of already unsure or often insecure ladies- will only perpetuate the cycle of unhealth, and is a huge factor in the development of unhealthy body image, and even eating disorders.
That was the worst run-on sentence ever, but- skinny girls get body-shamed too, was my point. And it’s not good, okay, or healthy.

yes actually I have. I have endometriosis and I have a full body inflamitory disease. I look bigger than I am 24/7. I drink almost a gallon of water a day trying to fight it and I still manage to get dehydrated. Inflamitory diseases cause you to get dehydrated easier. Also…
Your response cuts off, so I have no idea what you said after “Also”, but you can message me, if you’d really like.
1 US gallon= 128 ounces of water.
1 US liter- 33.8 ounces of water (x 4) = 135.25 ounces, or, (x5)= 169.07 ounces of water.
Recommended daily intake= 1/2 your body weight in pounds, represented in ounces. I currently weigh about 165 lbs, and I am drinking well over 82 ounces of water every day.
Anyway, I’m sorry for being argumentative, but I get irritable when people misspell their supposed health conditions. It’s not fair, and I sound like a bitch, but just you writing “inflamitory” twice makes me disregard your opinion. Like I said, I realize that I sound like a bitch. I just can’t take you seriously. That’s not your fault.
*Also, I’ve read some of your posts, and while I don’t dispute that you’ve taken a class or two about health, you’re not an expert about health conditions, or any one particular person.. Just as I can not judge your personal body, as I am not a health professional.
I’m sorry you have to deal with Endometriosis, it’s a bitch and a half. In terms of your “full body inflammatory disease”, I would be curious/interested to discuss that with you further, and I do hope that everything is under control, and not too serious.
My original point, was that sometimes- regardless of how much water I consume, my body is going to remain swollen, or inflamed, and I need to just wait it out.. So your suggestion to “drink an extra glass or two” of water just seemed… Comical, I guess. Obviously I drink a lot of water. It felt a lot like me telling someone with a chronic migraine condition “take a tylenol, it should help”. It barely would skim the surface of the underlying problem, or make any real or noticeable difference.
Anyway, I’m sorry for being a bitch about this, and irritable, but my hormones and body are being shitty lately, and I’m not feeling great about either.
Sorry to any followers who don’t want to see wall-of-text posts, either. :p
Maybe if I start doing these, I can get my abs back?
I need to start training harder again.
